Photography Art and editing

their raw photographs art and have no desire to create “special effects”
with them or to edit them in any way, other prefer to enhance the
artistic appeal of their photos by using various editing programs that
are available.
Two very popular editing programs
are Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop. Both of these are fairly expensive and
can be time consuming to learn to use. However, they provide more
options for editing than most editing software programs that come
standard with digital cameras.
Options for editing include such
things as color correction, lighting correction, changing backgrounds,
and removing scars and wrinkles from subjects. Some of these options are
more difficult to learn to do and are more time consuming than others.
Some photographers use editing
programs to create totally different and more artistic backgrounds for
their subjects. They may photograph a model against a plain background
and then through Photoshop transfer her image to appear to be in a
forest or in front of a castle or even battling a mythical dragon.
Becoming an expect an digital photo
editing can take quit a while and is a valuable skill for a photograph
to possess. Some photographers teach themselves while others may purchase
tutorials or attend classes to learn the editing programs.
Most professional photographers are
very good at using photo editing programs and many charge for editing
other people's photos or teaching beginners how to use photo editing
software. A good living can be made by being talented at using photo
editing programs for graphic design.
