Digital Camera Features
The features of
digital cameras are very similar to the features of traditional
camera. The main difference is that instead of loading them with
film, you insert a memory card into a memory slot.
Here are some of the main features of a
digital camera:
Zooming: This feature takes the largest
image produced by the lens and enlarges it, usually 2 or 3 times.
The zoom control is located in different places for different
camera. For SLR cameras, the lens is used for zooming.
Flash: Digital camera have a build in flash
to be used in low light situations. Additional camera flash units
are available for many models of cameras.
View Finder: The windows through which the
photographer views the subject of the photograph
Camera Controls: Buttons and switches that
set different operations
LCD Screen: The LCD screen displays the
image and also provides information on the settings used
Setting buttons: Buttons that enable the
selection of various settings such as f-stop, ISO and lighting
Battery Compartment: The
compartment where the battery is attached.
Digital Memory Card Slot: The
compartment where the memory card goes.
